Conference In Search for a Safer World

The Centennial of the Birth of Senator J. William Fulbright

Warsaw, Poland

The conference will address various aspects of Euro Atlantic relations one and half years after the EU enlargement. Specifically, it will focus on the issues of further EU enlargement; EU policy towards East European countries such as, e.g. Russia, Ukraine and Belarus; the role of the U.S. as EU's partner in shaping the world, etc.

The organizers have invited Prof. Danuta Hübner, EU Commissioner for Regional Policy (former Fulbrighter) and President Lech Wałęsa as key-note speakers. Participants will include PFAA members, U.S. Fulbrighters to Poland, university rectors, high rank representatives of the Polish Parliament and Government as well as the European Commission officials. Proceedings of the Conference will be published including full versions of presentations.
